Directions and Parking
Joel and Lila Harnett Museum of Art and Harnett Print Study Center (inside the Modlin Center for the Arts)
From the North via I-95 Southbound
Take exit 79. Stay to the left to merge onto I-195 S, the Downtown Expressway. Continue on I-195 S for approximately two miles. Take the Cary St./VA-147 Exit. Bear right on the ramp and turn right onto Cary Street. Continue straight on Cary for approximately two miles and pass through the intersection at Three Chopt Road. At the bottom of the hill, bear right at the intersection onto westbound River Road. Continue straight on River Road for approximately .75 mile and make the second right onto College Road.
From the South via I-85 to/or I-95 Northbound

From the East via I-64 Westbound
Take Exit 183-A/Glenside Drive south. Continue south to Three Chopt Road, turn left on Three Chopt. Follow Three Chopt until it ends and turn right onto River Road. At the bottom of the hill, bear right at the intersection onto westbound River Road. Continue straight on River Road for approximately .75 mile and make the second right onto College Road.
From the West via I-64 Eastbound
Take Exit 183/Glenside Drive. Turn right on Glenside Drive, continue south to Three Chopt Road, turn left on Three Chopt. Follow Three Chopt until it ends and turn right onto River Road. Continue straight on River Road for approximately .75 mile and make the second right onto College Road.
From the West via US 60 (Midlothian Turnpike) Eastbound
Turn left on State Route 147 (Huguenot Road) and continue approximately seven miles and cross the Huguenot Bridge over the James River. At the next traffic light, take a hard left onto westbound River Road. Continue straight on River Road for approximately .75 mile and make the second right onto College Road.
From Downtown Richmond/The Fan
Take Grove Avenue to Three Chopt Road. Turn left on Three Chopt. Follow Three Chopt until it ends and turn right onto River Road. At the bottom of the hill, bear right at the intersection onto westbound River Road. Continue straight on River Road for approximately .75 mile and make the second right onto College Road.
Lora Robins Gallery of Design from Nature
The Lora Robins Gallery of Design from Nature is located in Boatwright Library, with a separate entrance via the side of the building along Richmond Way. Both the Joel and Lila Harnett Museum of Art and the Harnett Print Study Center are located in the Modlin Center for the Arts. When referring to the campus map, the Lora Robins Gallery is located in building #5 and the Harnett Museum and Print Study Center are both in building #50.
From Interstate 64
From Exit 183/Glenside Drive South take Glenside Drive to Three Chopt Rd. Turn left onto Three Chopt and follow it for approximately one mile then turn right onto Boatwright Drive. Take Boatwright to the main entrance then turn left onto Campus Drive. After about 1/4 of a mile turn right onto Gateway Road and make an immediate right onto Richmond Way. Follow Richmond Way down the hill towards Westhampton Lake and the Gallery is the last building on the left before the lakefront turn (across from Thomas Hall). There are a limited number of visitor parking places along Richmond Way.
From Downtown
Take Interstate 95 North to Interstate 64 West then follow the above instructions.
OR
Follow Main Street west until Thompson (Main will change names to Ellwood after the Boulevard), make a left onto Thompson and then an immediate right onto Cary Street. Follow Cary Street several miles and turn right at Three Chopt Road (third light). Turn left onto Towana Drive then left onto Gateway Road then an immediate right onto Richmond Way. Follow Richmond Way down the hill towards Westhampton Lake and the museum is the last building on the left before the lakefront turn (across from Thomas Hall). There are a limited number of visitor parking places along Richmond Way.
From the South
Cross the Huguenot Bridge and turn left at Three Chopt Road (second light). Turn left onto Towana Drive then left onto Gateway Road then an immediate right onto Richmond Way. Follow Richmond Way down the hill towards Westhampton Lake and the museum is the last building on the left before the lakefront turn (across from Thomas Hall). There are a limited number of visitor parking places along Richmond Way.
